The IP-SIG’s Annual General Meeting and Member Talks is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time, via Zoom.

Annual reports will be emailed to members in late April so that you will have to read them before the AGM. We will keep the business meeting as brief as possible to leave ample time for the member talks, but we do want to hear any feedback you may have or ideas for future projects.

This will be the third year for member presentations. Following the AGM, three members have offered to present short talks about various aspects of their Irish Palatine research:

Carol Airey’s Irish Palatine ancestor was part of the Peter Robinson settlement scheme. She will speak about her research, as well as give a brief overview of the 1825 Bicentennial celebrations taking place this summer in Peterborough, Ontario.

Susan Arness, PLCGS, will speak about the variety of resources she used in research she did for a client on Irish Palatines in the Meaford area, with a focus on the Long and Teskey families.

Debra Switzer Dirks will introduce her Irish Palatine Descendants website.

Each presenter will speak for 15 – 20 minutes, and there will be time for questions and discussion afterwards. We look forward to these presentations, and hope that you will join us! The Zoom link can be found on page 2 of the latest Irish Palatine Post (March 2025), or on the Annual General Meeting page in the Member Zone.
