Delmege, Midshipman Claude Philippe killed in action in the north sea 22 September 1914 while serving on H.M.S.  Cressy, Royal Navy, listed on the Chatham Naval Memorial, Kent, England, son of Alfred G. Delmege, Deputy Inspector General Royal Navy, of Blackheath, London, England.

Delmage, Private C/A.J.  40812, died 16 April 1918 while serving with the 18th Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers, United Kingdom, interred Martinsart British Cemetery, Somme, France.

Delmege, Private Edwin 9569, died 1 May 1915, while serving with the United Kingdom Royal Munster Fusiliers, 1st Battalion, listed Helles Memorial, Turkey.  This may be the Edwin Delmage son of Gerald D. and Henrietta (Johnson) Delmage of Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland who was said to have been killed in 1916.

Delmege, Captain Eyre Bolton Massy, MC born Ireland, died 23 October 1916, 27 years, killed in action while serving with the East Lancashire Regiment, 2nd Battalion, interred Bancourt British Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France, son of Baronet Adam William Stafford Delmege and Frances Catherine Scott of Ballymore, County Tipperary, Ireland, native of Gadesby, Leicestershire.  Eyre was mentioned in despatches.

Knox, Colonel Selmer B. born 27 May 1898 Ontario, died 10 Oct 1918 in Germany, killed in action in Germany while serving with the American Forces, 126th Infantry, Co. 1, gravestone in Amble Cemetery, Montcalm County, Michigan,  son of Johnson J. Knox and Catherine Frances Switzer of Coral, Michigan.

MacCallum, Lt. Earle Carman died 31 October 1917, 24 years, while serving with the 78th Battalion of the Manitoba Regiment, Canadian Infantry, listed Menin Gate, Ypres, Leper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium,  son of Archibald Donald and Harriett Ann (Walker) MacCallum of  London, Ontario and grandson of Donald and Ann (Corneille) MacCallum.

Piper, Private George 4364, born Tullagh, Ennis, County Clare, Ireland, died 16 May 1915, killed in action while serving with the United Kingdom Forces Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, 2nd Battalion in the Western European Theatre.  He enlisted in Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland.

Piper (sometimes spelled Pyper) Sergeant George, 7986 born about 1883 Ardaugh, Killscannel, County Limerick, killed in action 21 January 1916, 32 years at the Battle of Al’Orah, Mesopotamia, while serving with the United Kingdom Forces in the Asiatic Theatre, Connaught Rangers, 1st Battalion, listed on the Basra Memorial, Iraq, son of Richard and Catherine (Ball) Piper of Killaheen, County Limerick. George also served with the Connaught Rangers in the Boer War. There is a plaque in Holy Trinity Church of Ireland, Rathkeale, County Limerick honouring him.

Sparling, Major Sidney James Belton born 6 April 1882 India, died 4 June 1915 at Gallipoli, while serving with the United Kingdom Royal Naval Division, Royal Marines, Howe Battalion, as Major & Adjutant, listed Helles Memorial, Turkey (including Galipoli), son of Lieutenant Colonel James Philip (Indian Army) and Lucy Mary (Ryan) Sparling  of 11 Kingsley Terrace, Westward Ho, Devon, England.  Wounded 2 May 1915 Major Sparling returned to action on the 3rd of June and was killed 4 June 1915.    There is a monumental inscription at Gulmarg “Meadow of Flowers”, a hill station in Baramulla District, India.  There is no known grave.

Sparling, Sergeant Thomas Vincent 1260040, born 25 October 1895 Caledonia, Ontario, died 31 October 1917, 23 years, killed in action while serving with the Canadian Field Artillery, 13th Brigade,  interred Aix-Noulette Communal Cemetery  Extension, Pas de Calais, France son of  Rev. William W. and Emily Josephine Sparling of Toronto, Ontario.

Switzer, Lieutenant Albert Robert born about 1890, Canada, died 23 April 1919, 29 years, while serving with the Canadian Infantry, Central Ontario Regiment, 19th Battalion, interred Bramshott (St. Mary) Churchyard, Hampshire, United Kingdom, son of Alfred and Emma Switzer of Detroit, Michigan, United States.

Switzer, Private George Christopher 868, born at Court, Rathkeale Parish, County Limerick, Ireland, died 21 March 1918, 20 years, at the Battle of Cambrai, while serving with the United Kingdom Forces, Royal Munster Fusiliers, 1st Battalion, listed on the Pozieres Memorial, Somme, France, son of Christopher D. and Annie M. Switzer of Courtmatrix, County Limerick.  There is a plaque in Holy Trinity Church in Rathkeale honouring George.

Switzer, Private George Edward 550106, died 23 March 1918, 24 years, in France while serving with the Royal Canadian Dragoons, 43rd Battalion, buried at Noyon New British Cemetery, Oise, France, son of John Thomas and Elizabeth (Kingsborough) Switzer of Garafraxa Township, Dufferin County, Ontario.  The cemetery is half way between Amiens and Reims and about 14 kilometres south southwest of St. Quentin.  Private Switzer enlisted in 1915.

Switzer, Private Godfrey George 4586, born Maryborough, Queensland, Australia, died 1 October 1917, 25 years, in Belgium while serving with the Australian Infantry (AIF), listed at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Leper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, son of John Thomas Switzer and Florence Elizabeth Bowless of Brisbane, Australia.

Switzer, Private Harold Edward 784514, born 4 December 1897, died 31 October 1917, 21 years, “missing, presumed killed in action” at Passchendaele, while serving with the Canadian Force, Quebec Regiment, 5th Canadian Mounted Rifles, listed on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Leper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, son of William Beatty and Elizabeth (Laidman) Switzer of Binbrook Township, Wentworth County, Ontario.

Webster, Major Lester Olny died 19 Aug 1916, 31 years, while serving with the Canadian Infantry, 50th Battalion, interred Reninghelst New Military Cemetery, Poperinge, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, son of Robert S. and Dora (Brethour) Webster, grandson of John and Elizabeth (Shier) Brethour, and husband of Q.J. Webster of 297 James Street, Hamilton, Ontario.  Major Lester Webster was an uncle of Flying Officer Lester Webster who was killed in 1945.
